Idiyappam or string hopper is a traditional dish from the state of Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the southern part of India. This dish also goes by the name of Nool Puttu or Noolappam. The dish is made out of rice flour-based dough and pressed into thin noodles, woven into a flat disk-like shape and then steamed in a steamer or idli maker.
Making Idiyappam at home is a piece of cake now. Just add Double Horse Easy Idiyappam Powder, water and salt and mix well. Fill the mix into an avanazhi and press it into Idiyappam or idli moulds. Steam cook for 5-6 minutes and yummy idiyappams are ready to serve.
