Banana Flower Curry

Ingredients:
- 1 banana flower, cleaned and chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 1 green chilli, chopped
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder (optional)
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions:
- Heat some oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until translucent.
- Add the garlic, ginger, and green chilli and cook for another minute.
- Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and red chilli powder (if using). Cook for another minute, stirring frequently.
- Add the chopped banana flower and stir to coat with the spices.
- Add 1/2 cup of water and bring to a boil. Then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the banana flower is tender.
- Stir in the coconut milk and cilantro. Cook for another minute or two.
- Season with salt to taste and serve hot with rice or roti.
Tips:
- To clean the banana flower, remove the outer leaves and trim the stem. Then, peel back the inner leaves and remove the purple stamen. Finally, cut the banana flower into thin slices.
- If you don't have coconut milk, you can use any other type of milk or even plain water.
- You can also add other vegetables to this curry, such as potatoes, carrots, or peas.
- Serve this curry with rice or roti and a side of yoghurt or raita.

Good Price and Value for the product . I will order once again . Website can be improved more ,it was difficult to login as the site was keep on saying no valid user name. I registered by choosing CZ currency which is not valid for EUR . Payment option with paypal can be extended.
Had a very good meal in Dookan restaurant today. Masala dosa, sambar idly, on request family dosa and the best vadai/vada. Dosa and vadai were so tasty and crispy. Friendly staff.👌😋🌟
