Ingredients
- 1 banana stem, peeled and sliced

- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated coconut
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- Remove the bitterness from the banana stem: Soak the banana stem slices in water with a little bit of salt for 30 minutes. This will help to remove the bitterness from the banana stem.
- Cook the banana stem: Heat some oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until translucent. Add the garlic, ginger, and turmeric powder and cook for another minute.
- Add the spices: Add the coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and chilli powder (if using) and cook for another minute.
- Add the banana stem: Add the banana stem slices to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until softened.
- Add the coconut milk: Add the grated coconut and cilantro to the pan and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Season with salt and serve: Season with salt to taste and serve hot with rice or roti.
Tips
- If you want a richer curry, you can add a tablespoon of yoghurt or cream to the pan along with the coconut milk.
- If you don't have garam masala powder, you can substitute a mixture of ground coriander, cumin, and cardamom.
- You can also add other vegetables to this curry, such as potatoes, carrots, or peas.

Good Price and Value for the product . I will order once again . Website can be improved more ,it was difficult to login as the site was keep on saying no valid user name. I registered by choosing CZ currency which is not valid for EUR . Payment option with paypal can be extended.
Had a very good meal in Dookan restaurant today. Masala dosa, sambar idly, on request family dosa and the best vadai/vada. Dosa and vadai were so tasty and crispy. Friendly staff.👌😋🌟
