Plain roasted chana
Introduction
Plain Roasted Chana (Crispy Chickpeas)
Ingredients:
- 2 cups dry chickpeas, soaked overnight or for 8 hours
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Drain the chickpeas and rinse them well.
- Pat the chickpeas dry with paper towels.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, cumin powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread the chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roast for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chickpeas are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Tips:
- For extra flavour, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the spice mixture.
- If you don't have a steamer, you can boil the chickpeas in a pot of water until tender, about 1 hour.
- To make the chickpeas even more crispy, toss them with a tablespoon of lemon juice after they have cooled slightly.
Serving Suggestions:
- Serve Plain Roasted Chana as a snack or appetiser.
- Add them to salads or stir-fries.
- Use them as a topping for pizza or pasta.
- Enjoy with your favourite dipping sauce, such as hummus, yogurt, or tahini sauce.
Variations:
- For a more flavourful snack, toss the chickpeas with your favourite spices before roasting.
- Add a tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese to the chickpeas before roasting for a cheesy twist.
- For a sweeter snack, toss the chickpeas with a tablespoon of honey before roasting.

Good Price and Value for the product . I will order once again . Website can be improved more ,it was difficult to login as the site was keep on saying no valid user name. I registered by choosing CZ currency which is not valid for EUR . Payment option with paypal can be extended.
Had a very good meal in Dookan restaurant today. Masala dosa, sambar idly, on request family dosa and the best vadai/vada. Dosa and vadai were so tasty and crispy. Friendly staff.👌😋🌟
