- 1 teaspoon coriander powder

- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic, ginger, and green chili (if using) and cook for another minute, until fragrant.
- Add the cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala and cook for about 30 seconds, until the spices are fragrant.
- Stir in the tomato puree and cook for 5-7 minutes, until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Add the canned kidney beans, water, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the kidney beans are heated through and the gravy has thickened slightly.
- Stir in the chopped cilantro and serve hot with steamed rice.

Had a very good meal in Dookan restaurant today. Masala dosa, sambar idly, on request family dosa and the best vadai/vada. Dosa and vadai were so tasty and crispy. Friendly staff.👌😋🌟
