- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 4 cups (960ml) water
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish

- Tempering:
Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and coriander seeds and allow them to sizzle for a few seconds until fragrant.
